Vicki Brittain Cates, 76, of Abilene passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, March 2, 2026. She was born to Jack and Roberta Brittain on September 11, 1949 in Graham, Texas.
She worked as a Registered Nurse at Abilene Regional Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, learning about new plants, and making jewelry.
She is survived by her sons Justin and his wife Crystal Pardue of Abilene, and Matt Cates; brother Steve Brittain; nieces Julie Wicker and Larissa Wicker, and her dogs Hercules and Lady Bird.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Lynn Wicker; and brother Tony Brittain.
There are no services Currently planned. Cremation services are by West Central Texas Cremation, Abilene, Texas.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hendrick Hospice for the care they provided Vicki.
