Lillie Pearl Hale

Lillie Pearl Gonzales Hale, age 84, of Anson passed away Tuesday, August 4, at her home.

She was born June 2, 1942, in Bell County, Texas, to Jim and Lilly Odessel (Snow) Gonzales, the second of five children.

Lillie was a woman who enjoyed the simple things of life: black coffee, sewing, garage sales and dancing, and oh, could she dance. Lillie cared deeply for others, working in the healthcare field in Dimmitt, Anson General Hospital, and as a CNA at Valley View Nursing Home for more than 35 total years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Price; her parents; two sisters, Bertha Gonzales Jackson and Martha Fay Gonzales Funk; and one brother, Jim Richard Gonzales, Jr.

Lillie is survived by her husband, Billy Hale; one daughter, Lillie Mae Price Reddell; one brother, Jimmy Gonzales and wife, Shirley; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She inherited three more children, eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren upon marrying Billy.

The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of her doctors and to the Hendrick Hospice nurses who took such wonderful care of her in her final days.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation was chosen and entrusted to West Central Texas Cremation, Abilene, Texas. She will be buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Anson at a later date.
