Edna Earlene Stringer

Earlene Stringer, 83, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, surrounded by family in Abilene. She was born March 23, 1942, in Corsicana, Texas, to RT and Lula Mae Dozier. Earlene was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 35 years.  She loved her job and taking care of people. She was hard working and dedicated and won numerous awards at Hendrick's Medical Center and Abilene Regional during her career.  She was creative and loved interior decoration. She loved animals and had a soft spot for stray cats and dogs. She lived for her grandchildren and loved shopping for them at Christmas.

She is survived by her daughter Sherrie Stringer of Buda, TX, daughter Cheryl Stringer Goodman of Lewisville, Texas and four grandchildren: Caitlin Green of Carrollton, Texas, Chloe Inocencio of The Colony, Texas, Cooper Goodman of Lewisville, Texas and Claire Goodman of Lewisville, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters Kathy Smart of San Angelo, Texas and Crystal Croft of Corsicana, Texas.
