Bobby "Pete" Joe Ables, Jr.

Bobby “Pete” Joe Abels, Jr., 65, passed away peacefully in the afternoon hours on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born to Bobby joe Abels, Sr. and Ida Ozell Meador on March 16, 1960 in Abilene, Texas.

Bobby is survived by his wife Donna Abels; children Jessy Abels, Charlie Wilkinson(Joseph Bowen), Bradley Abels, Harley Wilkinson and Cody Abels; grandchildren Jesse Abels, Kris Abels, Jaylei Abels, Landon Abels, Leighlianna Gonzilas Wilkinson, Jasmine Wilkinson, Natalie Wilkinson, Alaina Abels, Kevin Davis, Isaiah Villarreal, Malorie Bowen, Natalie Bowen, Joe-Joe Bowenn, Dakota Abels, Cali Abels, Rosalie Abels and Ava Fields; siblings Larry(Twyla) Abels, Rhonda(Jimmy) Pace, Leona Daniels, Vicki(Jason) Putnam; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; and sons Johnny Wilkinson, Michael Abels.

Bobby worked mostly in construction doing concrete, roofing, welding and also worked in the oil field. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and time at the race track. One of his favorite passions was working on his race cars with his brother, dad, and his nephew Josh Abels.
