Alfredo Cavazos III

Alfredo Cavazos III, 59, of Abilene passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was born to Alfredo Cavazos Jr. and Amelia Quiroz on June 1, 1966 in Alice, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Edelia; children Efrain Ortega, Daniel Cavazos, Ricky Cavazos, Amanda Cavazos, April Cavazos, Krystal Ortega, Corina Montelongo, Adrianna Montelongo, Alicia Cavazos, and Aria Wilson; siblings Filiberto Guerra, Arnold Guerra, Margarita Longoria, Yolanda Hernandez, Glorianna Lerma, Mary Alverez, Evangelina Martinez, and Dionicia Vasquez; 27 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother Juan Guerra.

He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh, in his free time he enjoyed being around a campfire, listening to music, being with his family, and watching the Dallas Cowboys, and watching the Oklahoma Sooners.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 1:30 P.M. at Crescent Heights Baptist Church, 1902 N Mockingbird Ln, Abilene, TX 79603.
